APWA MRSP offers a comprehensive training program in a three year cycle. For one week per year road right of way workers in this program will be trained in various aspects, including flagging certification, signage standards, site safety, tool safety, paving, underground pipe work, GIS mapping, and roadway emergency response.
Participants who successfully attend all three training years will be designated as an APWA Michigan Roads Scholar.
The Institute date is October 21 through October 25, 2024 and will be held at the Comfort Inn and Suites Conference Center in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
APWA MRSP is a 3-year program is non-sequential and one can join in at any time.
Attendance is required at all sessions including evening functions that include classes, group meals and activities. See the schedule for details. Do not register unless you can commit to attending all sessions.

MRSP Continuing Education Credits
CECs will be based on the hours of instruction. Continuing education units for various organizations may be available. If you are aware of one where pre-approval might serve the greater group, please let us know in advance.
MRSP Deadline
Michigan Road Scholars Program deadline is
Sunday, October 6th, 2024.
To avoid late fees, please register and pay before deadline.
MRSP Cancellation & Late Fee Policy
A substitute from the same community can be arranged at any time, based on availability. A $50 fee will apply after the deadline. No refunds for no-shows or cancellations received after posted deadline.
